Tiny Cabin Construction Update
Ekklesia has been significantly involved with the Homes For All leadership committee over the last two years. Homes For All is a partnership of Kitsap County departments and staff, local social service providers like: Kitsap Community Resources (KCR) and Kitsap Rescue Mission (KRM),  several service organizations like Habitat For Humanity and United Way of Kitsap County, and many South Kitsap Churches. Ekklesia has been involved with the development and construction of many of the tiny cabins and other important facility buildings that will be used inside the new Santana Village planned to provide transitional housing for Kitsap County homeless residents. Ekklesia Church and several of it's members who are construction contractors have been the lead construction supervisors during several of the tiny cabin's build parties. We will attempt to provide community members who are interested in providing volunteer service with updated information as the work continues over the next few weeks and months. As of this date we plan on building two or three more tiny cabins for the new prototype village along with several support buildings that will provide food, sanitation, security, case management and laundry facilities.

Construction Update:
As of 8.1.18 the Homes For All partnership of Kitsap County departments, social service organization, schools, service clubs and churches have joined together to construct 11 tiny "cabins" that will be used to house homeless individuals. The tiny cabins have been build by the following organizations:
Ekklesia Church, Port Orchard- 2 cabins- built May 2017
First Lutheran Church, Port Orchard- 1 cabin- built May 2017
United Methodist Church, Port Orchard- 1 cabin- built May 2017

Habitat For Humanity, Kitsap County- 1 cabin built- September 2017
Kaiser Permanente- West Sound Region- 1 cabin built- September 2017- Kaiser has committed to build 2 more within the year.
Olympic ESD- Youth Build Program- began 1 cabin June 2018 and presently under construction- committed to build many more.

Community Buildings- Kitchen, bathhouse, security gate house, office, laundry and storage.
Several trailers have been donated by the Stirrett-Johnson construction company of Silverdale, WA. Three of these construction trailers will be remodeled as mobile kitchen, mobile bath house, security gate, village office and laundry facility. All buildings used in the village will be mobile with the ability to move to another site when needed. Work crews will begin work on remodeling the 8' x 24' trailer within a few weeks to create the mobile bath house. Great news was also received a about an AARP grant received for $11,000 to fund the remodel of the 10' x 32' trailer into the kitchen and commons room building. These mobile buildings will be moved to the village site when the property is permitted and land preparation is complete.
